波に月図象嵌赤銅魚子地鐔
 
きめ細かい赤銅魚子地の上に三日月と波を象嵌されております。表側は波の中に浮かぶ金色絵の三日月を、裏側は天にある銀の色絵象嵌に波を施した作品となっています。波を子細に見ると勢いや飛沫等を綺麗かつ精細な表現で作られております。
夜の美しい風景の一部でシンプルながら、表裏で月の位置や色の異なる象嵌を用いることにより一層趣深く感じさせるものとなっております。

While both sides of the tsuba share a Crescent moon and waves , the moon’ placement and the colors differ. In the front side, the moon rests on the surface of the waves, and is gold inlayed. On the other hand, it is in the sky and silver-colored on the back side. The design depicts such simpl beautiful scenes, and the enhancement of these differences make one feel sophisticated and very impressed.
