平造りで身幅広い。茎穴一つ
 
(地)全体的に肌立ち、板目肌が良く詰み、棟側に中心に流れごこちとなり映りも立つ
(刃文)小沸出来、小乱れの刃文で足が所々入り、刃中には砂流、金筋が入る
(帽子)小丸に返り深く焼きが入る
(彫)護摩箸の彫物が入る
 
 
越前国住兼植の短刀でございます。
本作品は特別保存刀剣の証書が付いております。
姿は元先の幅差が少なく、重ねが厚い、また肌は板目肌が詰み、棟側が流れ気味になっていることから美濃伝、末関かもしくは越前系統の品物へとみることができます。
この作品は入札鑑定に出品されたものであります。
黒塗の拵も質が良く目貫は水鳥、小柄は亀の図が入っております。
