山城守藤原国包は初代山城大掾国包の実子であり、慶長十六年生まれ正保二年父の業を継ぐ。寛文七年十一月十四日山城守受領、寛文十二年七月二日六十一歳にて歿。
作品は初代同様大和伝の保昌派を得意とする。
 
(地)地沸厚くきめ細かい柾目肌良く練れていて潤いがある
(刃)沸の荒い互の目をを焼き、砂流し、金筋が入る
(帽子)掃きかかり、焼き詰めとなる。
(彫物)表は二筋樋、裏は添樋となる
鎬造り　庵棟
 
茎は筋違い、庵重厚く作られており、地鉄は全体的に柾目肌で、鎬地も同様のものとなる。刃文は匂い口の深い沸の厚い互の目、荒沸が付き、所々砂流し入る。焼出しは直ぐである。中鋩で帽子は掃きかかった焼詰めごころとなる。
きめ細かい柾目肌、荒々しい沸がついた刃文、掃き掛けた帽子など保昌派の伝統をしっかり引き継いだ作風となっております。

The second generation of Kunikane, who was the son of first Kunikane and lived in Sendai.
He was born on 1611 A.D. and took over his father’s working on 1645. He was appointed the position of “Yamashiro-no-Kami” on November 14th 1677.
He also took over his techniques from his father and showed it to his works as it was, so his works resemble his father’s one so much.
Styles of their works are originally from Hosho, Yamato.
